So much hype. So much potential. So much disappointment. Really? She only had 12 fights. How are the calling this the biggest upset ever?  She was cocky and arrogant.  She deserves what she got.

Yeah I didn't watch the fight live but she looked outgunned in the highlights.  Whatever that move was with not tapping gloves at the beginning just made her look stupid. 

 

Unfortunately this all comes down to sponsors, etc., wanting some god-like female athlete to keep peddling their wares.  Rousey has the right look & attitude to do this (put off the "cool sister" vibe, or whatever). 

 

If anyone listens to the Jason Ellis show on Serius Channel 41, he's going to be talking about this all week!

I was able to find round 2 online but not round 1.  She looked shell-shocked from the beginning of round 2.  Honestly she shouldn't have been out there.  If I could see round 1 I'd see how she got hit.  But mentally she wasn't close to 100% coming into round 2 and wasn't able to defend herself. 

 

I'm amazed by how quick the pace is with these women.  I've been in many fights and mugging situations with various idiots and have never encountered a guy who can punch and move anywhere close to as quickly as these women.

Yeah, because of Jake!  He's always shocked at how slow the people he mugs are.  It's barely even a challenge anymore.

Oh please people.  I made my comments as a compliment to the level of female athletics.  This is about the first time I can remember guys standing around the water cooler getting excited about female athletes.

 

And I don't know where these magical places were that boys completely avoided schoolyard scuffles.  Sounds to me like a lot of guys here allowed themselves to get bullied. 

I saw both rounds. I like Ronda Rousey and I can honestly say she got her ass handed to her from the opening bell to the time she got knocked out.

Women are really at twitchy-type stuff. That's why women can do really well against men racing cars on roadcourses but often find little success in oval racing.
