Why does it look like a barren wasteland? It's so deserted!!

I went to AC in the summer of 2014, prior to most of the big closures, and had a great time. There was good food, a nice beach, good priced gambling and hotel rooms, and lots of people around. What's not to like?

I stayed at Donald J. Trump's fabulous Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in the newer tower and it was very nice. That was back when Donald Trump was just Donald Trump, before he was Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. Simpler times.

I'm one of those people that actually like Atlantic City.  It's a fascinating place...like a mix of Camden and Reno.

No Lucy???

No Lucy???

I visited Lucy, but she did not make this thread because she is not in AC proper.

Going there this week for work. It's an eerie place. They through a Crocker park/Easton type development a few blocks off the beach that must have minimal sales September through may

Went there this past summer and stayed at my in-laws time share there at Wyndham. It was pretty nice, lots more people out then. I was really surprised how clean and maintained everything was. It was a really nice time and we enjoyed being there. The beach was nice and clean and it was fun to people watch.

We went to Taj Mahal one night and I was not impressed at all with that casino. Dark, dreary and no action at all. It wasn't lively or welcoming. Horseshoe here in Cincinnati is much much better.

I wouldn't mind going back to Atlantic City some day again

Are you talking about the Tanger Outlet "mall"?

^, yeah its a far cry from the outdoor malls in mentioned, but I think that was the attempt.  They actually have some nice stores, but I was there last in fall and there was nobody out walking around.

  • 2 weeks later...

Everything dies, baby that's a fact,

But maybe everything that dies, someday comes back.

Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty,

And meet me tonight in Atlantic City.
