Posted February 21, 20169 yr New to the site, hi everyone! :wave: I am looking for any information on officers who served with the Cheviot Police from approximately 1969 to 1989 in an effort to help my boyfriend learn about his biological father. My boyfriend recently had the pleasure of being reunited with this biological mother after being placed for adoption in the early 1970's. She told us that his biological father had unfortunately passed away some time ago, so I am attempting to find information on his time serving with the Cheviot Police. I have tried a great deal of public record searching without much luck, so if anyone here knows of a way to find any information relating to my search, I would greatly appreciate the help! February 22, 20169 yr Welcome to UO. Have you tried submitting a public records request? Perhaps you could request documentation showing the police department rosters from 1969 to 1989. I am not sure they would have a specific roster. But they might have maintained seniority lists, promotional lists, shift schedules, or any number of documents reflecting the membership during the years in question. Try that.
