September 8, 20231 yr Night club eyes new spot after city denial A proposed luxury night club in the Dayton area is on the hunt for a new location after a city board denied its potential first spot. The local entrepreneur heading the effort is still holding out hope for his hometown but is eyeing additional opportunity in other welcoming municipalities. Applicant and CEO of Purple City LLC Miracle Hurston is no longer purchasing a vacant property at 1030 Summit Drive in Middletown for the proposed night club’s first location. This leaves the property, vacant since July 2020, open to a new potential buyer under its existing office zoning. Hurston said the purchase of the property was contingent on receiving a recreation and entertainment/eating and drinking variance, which was unanimously denied at Wednesday’s zoning board meeting. However, this has not deterred his plans to open Purple City at a different location, even potentially outside of Middletown.
