So I accidentally posted something in the wrong thread. I caught the problem in seconds, so I fixed my post. When I tried to paste my comment into the correct thread, my entire text was changed to the words

 

"So next time, try thinking

before you post something that sounds so stupid."

 

I find this fairly insulting for a minor, easily corrected mistake. Also my multi-paragraph post was completely lost.

I'm not surprised though. Some of the mods here are incredibly demeaning and speak down of members that make a simple mistake. I think we've all posted/almost posted something in the wrong thread thinking we clicked on the one we intended. No need for public ridicule for it. That's ridiculous.

 

That's the type of BS that leads a vibrant online community down the drain.

I bailed on the Income Inequality post when I ctrl-P(ed), so the text was changed before the 2nd post could even happen. So write something, edit it, hit Back, hit ctrl-C, then try to ctrl-P into another thread.

I checked the moderation log and no one (admin or mod) made any edits to your post which would have been copied when you attempted to move the post to the correct thread.  So this almost has to be a fluke and not some intentionally done.
