Posted May 18, 20169 yr I had a very eventful lunch today, I stepped out of my building and met MayDay, then almost immediately after was interviewed by Fox8, AND got to see a scene filmed for Fast 8! Quite an hour :-D Here are some assorted pictures from this beautiful day throughout downtown. Anyone know what this ship is here for? Public Square nearing completion Hilton also nearing completion Activity at the Port (and the new cranes) Fast 8 filming: I decided to get around the closure by heading to Euclid. The closure of Superior really made Euclid feel quite busy this afternoon. Notice all the new trees down Euclid Ave., matching those just planted on E. 9th. Unfortunately some of them already had a couple branches broken off :( but hopefully the Gator bags help them survive and they are maintained. Public Square: Someone already taking occupancy: Encountered more filming at East 6th (now "East 23rd Street")

I saw these on Tuesday, including new ones on E. 9th Street as well as Lakeside. They are honey-locusts (of course), and from what I saw, none of them seemed to be alive. No sign of leafing out or green whatsoever. I will check back in case they were in some sort of forced dormancy from a much colder place, but I'm doubtful.

May 20, 20169 yr Awesome, awesome. Looks like Guy's Pizza was given some updated NYC signage! And let them know it's ok to leave the "Ginger's Flower Shop" after they leave.
