May 21, 20169 yr The architecture in this city is just insane. Crazy how when people think of architectural gems in regards to Midwest cities you'll always get the likes of Detroit, and Chicago, but never Cincinnati. Really wish the likes of Anthoney Bourdaine/Andrew Zimmerman would take the time and highlight the beauty of this city. No one really has, no one really cares about Cincinnati (outside of Cincinnatians largely)

If I wasn't aware of this forum I'd never have the inclination to visit. I think one issue, to me at least, is that Cincy is certainly not northern, not quite "the Midwest, and not quite "the South." But at the same time, it's all of these. Anyhow there are few cities that can match the personality and potential of Cincinnati. Amazing energy and such great character!
May 23, 20169 yr Great photos! I love that Japanese house in Mt. Adams. So many little surprises like that all over Cincy. Another favorite of mine is the Swiss chalet house on Upland in East Walnut Hills.
