Posted June 11, 20169 yr Forget that old, outdated description of Cleveland on the lake. It's now: The Roar By The Shore! Or... The Fury On Lake Erie! Whatever it is, it's mighty pretty in the summer. I present these lakeside samples, from west-to-east, for your viewing pleasure. Starting in the west at the outdoor patio at Lakewood's Pier W, a 15-minute walk from my home. View of downtown at dawn from the Waterford Condos on Lakewood's Gold Coast. This is less than 10 minutes walk from my home. Edgewater Park The after-work party with great bands every Thursday at Edgewater Park Just east of Edgewater Park is Wendy Park on Whiskey Island Wendy Park is a great place for kids to play and run until breathless, including my fiancee's son and another boy who joined in the running. 1940s era Coast Guard station at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River getting renovated, bit by bit My fiancee and her son running up and down the man-made slopes at Wendy Park A couple of days earlier, my fiancee, her son and I, visited Pier Park/Voinovich Park downtown at sunset. My fiancee Irina and I. Goodnight, Sun. May you shine again on Cleveland tomorrow. Thanks for watching! June 11, 20169 yr "Starting in the west at the outdoor patio at Lakewood's Pier W, a 15-minute walk from my home." All right, stop bragging KJP... Seriously though, nice shots. We forget out lush our lakefront really is beyond airports and factories we're used to ... btw, Congrats on the upcoming nuptials.
June 11, 20169 yr "My fiancee and her son running up and down the man-made slopes at Wendy Park" I think that's a great action photo of what looks like a great day. Keep it someplace special, friend!

June 12, 20169 yr Wonderful photos! I need to get to Edgewater Park on my next visit to Cle. And congrats on your engagement- looks like you had a great day with your bride to be.
June 12, 20169 yr Really enjoyed the pics of the city from the perspective of Edgewater and the lake...the city looks so different and coastal - we still sometimes forget what a tremendous asset Lake Erie is - it just takes Cleveland to another level to have that coastline.. Wendy Park looks like a great place to hang out and relax - and seems like there's so much potential to develop those parks and beach areas along the lake. Happy to see one of the all-time urban.ohio greats (KJP) with a new fiancee! I thought I was seeing a little less published by KJP recentl¥ - now I know why...(just kidding, you're still on top of your game..) Congrats... .
June 12, 20169 yr Great set! Especially for the unlucky ones who are working inside way too much. That guy with the expensive tennis shoes needs to take those things off in the sand...CLE people, come on and learn some beach etiquette lol. p.s. KJP props to you for getting your lady to match her top with your Browns logo!
