So I took the new camera (Minolta Z6) for her first true test-run on the 21st floor of my office building. Gotta say I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can go to town :-)

Fabulous! I'm glad you got the new camera, because you sure know what to do with it!

Great work MayDay!  It's been a while since one of your trademark photo threads and it was worth the wait!  It's good news for all of us that you have a new toy!

Hooray for new cameras in the hands of MayDay!

I disagree with your comment MayDay......the 5/3 bldg. you pictured is both a beautiful bldg. AND a beautiful name.

^

Regardless of the name, the signage leaves a little something to be desired after the understated Bank One signage.  But I concur, it's a great building (great photo too!)

MayDay, you're have way too much fun with that camera.  Great pics!

If these are the views you have everyday from your office building, I am jealous! Great pictures! I love Cleveland

I really love that power plant shot.

Oh, you rock.  Rock on!

Both cleveland and eastlake gritty power plants in the same shot, and you can barely make out perry nuclear power plant in the same shot in the horizion as well.

While I couldn't see the Perry plant, there sure was a big dyke in that photo!

You have to know what you are looking for to find the perry plant. Literaly its just a pair of slightly elevated pixes in the picture. Arrows sort of point at it in the image I uploaded, but paint mangles the resolution, so you would have to look on the orginal to find them.

Beautiful -- Thanks MayDay!

BTW, does anyone know how I can get my browser to show the full images? It cuts them off at the margin of the thread.

Hey, you even got a picture of my place in there.  If I weren't too lazy, I would take some photos.  I have views of the lake, downtown, University Circle from every room in my apartment.

wow great viewskis.

how many megapixels did you use for the shots on that thread mayday? i'll guess 5?

Just increase your screen resolution.  You should be at 1024X768 atleast.

PARTY AT WIMWARS CRIB!!!  :drunk:   :drunk:

Comically, I've always hated the name Key Bank. It makes me think they just picked some random object and Pen Bank, Sock Bank, or Paperclip Bank would have been acceptable alternatives. Society was much better. Anyway, thats a big Cleveland name, while 5/3, Cincy's claim is disliked by MayDay.

I love your camera and I love your shots.  I can't wait to see more.

very nice job mayday!

i'm lovin the new camera.

Great shots MayDay!

Nice to see part of Euclid, even if it looks bookended by ugly power plants

  • 3 years later...

The Lake Shore (near) and Eastlake power plants are owned by FirstEnergy.

Good stuff MayDay!
