Growth planned for Levis Commons

Levis Commons in Perrysburg, whose growth was strangled by the Great Recession, is about to be jump-started by new, $100 million developments that include a 105-suite hotel, 67,000 square feet of stores, new tenants for an existing 67,000 retail building, and construction of 424 apartments.

Gateway Hospitality Group broke ground Wednesday on a four-story Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel to be built immediately east of the existing Hilton Garden Inn. The hotels are toward the back of Levis Commons, which is a 400-acre mixed-use development off of State Rt. 25 near the I-475/U.S. 23 interchange.

Perrysburg OKs jobs grant for health center

Perrysburg City Council approved a job-creation grant for the incoming $56.3 million Mercy Health center announced last week.

While one city councilman objected to the benefit on the grounds that Mercy would build the project without the help, a majority agreed that denying it could harm Perrysburg’s future development prospects.

Any news about Levis Commons lately?  I'm always wondering when theyll finally connect the main part and the back part together so theres actual continuity.

None that I've seen. A few of the existing retail spaces remain empty, so there's probably little incentive to build more.

The home2 suites that's mentioned a few posts above helped connect a little, and the new condo things they built to the south def upped the population on the whole property...  but yea, retail is somewhat sluggish there

I'm not the biggest fan of developments like these. With that said, It already exists and it's the better of the two in the area in my opinion. Good to see it finally fill in more so the front section actually connects with the back and feels cohesive.

Too much novelty and whimsicality. Not enough garage doors.
