Posted March 4, 200619 yr I've looked everywhere I can think of, and I can't find any rules regarding advertising on the forum. If it is not permitted, please forgive me for advertising this available apartment in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood on W. 69th St, north of Detroit.
March 4, 200619 yr I kind of like idea of allowing advertising on here as long as it is in the UrbanBar section.
March 4, 200619 yr If it really became a lot of advertising, then maybe it would make sense to have an "Urbanohio Marketplace" section. It could be kicked off with links to real estate listings, architect's offices, "urban accessories" places, or other commercial links of interest to forumers.
March 4, 200619 yr Speaking of forum rules, it is advised that you don't use attachments to post a bunch of photos. The attachments feature is for posting the odd photo or graphic here and there. Urban Ohio does not have unlimited space for storing attachments, and multiple photos take up space very quickly. Please look into hosting your photos externally and hotlinking them. If money is an issue, Photobucket or Imageshack are good choices that host your images for free. For advice on how to post hotlinked images, there is a sticky thread in Forum Issues. As for the question of advertising, it is generally frowned upon, but posting examples of a rehabbed apartment does have something to do with what this website's all about, so we'll let that slide.
March 5, 200619 yr How much Dan? (not looking myself, but if I hear of anyone, I would love to let them know)
March 6, 200619 yr Dan, you might want to post this on http://www.pluggedincleveland.com it's a good source for apartment hunters and landlords and it's free. A friend of mine posted an apartment there and had it rented by the next day.
