Posted March 5, 200619 yr well here it is agian with the poll this time, I hope some one deletes the other thread tower 1 tower2-Neo world Center tower 3- Tour De Rayon ok this time you can vote.
March 5, 200619 yr i really like the two on the top drawing. very egyptian. those would look cool in cleveland. or anywhere. i just do not like the french tower at all.
March 5, 200619 yr My personal favorite and the one I would like to see rise in downtwon Cleveland is Tower number 2. Well you just get an idea of my vision for this tower. the color is off, I would prefer it to have silver tone reflective glass or something very high tech and shinny, but I love that tower. And on the side of the tower it would be lit up all the way to the top forming a pyramid type light in the sky. the lights would be on the parts on the side with the horizontal lines.
March 6, 200619 yr I can't believe anyone would vote for "none"!?!?! I guess they must be from different cities and don't want to see more tall buildings in our city. Hell, I would take a 1000ft pile of dog dung if it made the skyline look cooler! (can't wait to hear the remarks)
March 6, 200619 yr I have no idea why any one would choose none other than thme not likeing the tower. I wish they would post some constructive criticism, for my towers. I am putting my work out for the pleasure of my fellow forumers, if you dont like them, tell me why please. help me grow as a artist and future architect and city planner. by the way this is just for fun, but who knows, maybe one day you will see one of these on a U.S. skyline. But maybe they are all ugly to some people, its not impossible, but tell me why. i love them all personaly and would like to see them all rise right here in Cleveland ohio, giving us aa imposing and prominent skyline.
March 6, 200619 yr I voted for tower 2. It is both progressive and fitting for the city. It does not appear to be out of line with the existing context/skyline, and would add a jewel to the city. This would instantly become a tourist highlight for visitors, and you would not have to build an ugly monstrocity (Museum Plaza) in order to do so.
March 6, 200619 yr I voted for the first, only because I am into more traditional scrapers. As for the other two, I like the lines of the third one and the open top feature. I don't like the second one whatsoever. The Louisville tower looks better than this. The space ship shape and even size of layers makes me cringe. In this case, I'm just picking my favorite, not considering a placement in Cleveland.
March 6, 200619 yr I love tower number 2 and with a nice coat of reflectice glass I think it would stand among some of my favorite glass office tower, like Seatle's Columbia Center and Houston's Wells Fargo Tower. I love its simplicty and progressive stature. thats just my opinion and any one else opinion on the tower is well pespected. Love it or hate it, it doesnt matter to me, I love it, well I created it, so thats a given that I would love it, any way keep the comments and feedback coming. thanks every one. :-D
March 6, 200619 yr I cant believe people are saying none of them, guess its back to the drawing board. what kind of skyscraper would you like to see, I have a traditional skyscraper, a progressive one and a high tech one up here, I dont know what else you would want besides no skyscraper at all, lol.
March 7, 200619 yr Either of the top two look like they could fit in well in a downtown context, I like the one on the right, the one on the left looks kind of bland. Actually, it resembles the Downtown Marriot. The other two just wouldn't fit downtown at all. #2 is just too huge at the base, it would require a superblock, and then wouldn't fill out the street level, thus requiring a large plaza. #3 just has no interface with the street level.
March 7, 200619 yr I voted for tower #1. Though I really like #3, I think tower #1 would fit in better with the rest of the Cleveland skyline.
March 7, 200619 yr Tower 2 would be about as wide as the BP building in downtwown clevland at the base excluding the BP's winter garden.
March 7, 200619 yr well any way it loks like tower number one is a favorite among voters, it will probably have the most votes when voting closes.
March 8, 200619 yr well it looks like im headed back to the drawing board. I will post some of my other skyskrapers to see if you like them.
March 9, 200619 yr Is tower number 1 two towers or just the one on the right? From what it looks like the two bldgs. are simply two different renderings of the same bldg. Please correct me if I am wrong kevmr25.
March 10, 200619 yr There are two renderings of the first two proposals and in the first proposal there is two towers.(tower #1)
March 10, 200619 yr I am working on getting the first two proposals to presentation quality, then maybe it will be easier to decide. i will also be working on some of my other towers. thank you all for your comments.
