Hey all - I'm hoping to call on the UO collective hive-mind to help me out a bit with finding a suitable location for my friends' wedding rehearsal dinner. They're getting married in Lakewood, but the bride's family lives in Aurora and Cuyahoga Falls. So... what I'm looking for is a place either near Lakewood, Ohio City/Tremont, downtown, or somewhere along 480 or even as far south as Macedonia or Hudson. As the title suggests, a private dining/party room is a must, with a menu that isn't too heavy on seafood and isn't too haute, and probably around $30 or less per person. So something with quality food but not really over-the-top. It's essentially a hipster millennial wedding and they said they'd be fine with even a place like Great Lakes, but I wasn't sure if they had a private room there. Anyway, any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance for the help.

Chinato has a nice private room in the basement. A friend of mine had his rehearsal dinner there last year and it went well.

Crop Bistro has a cool private dining area downstairs. I've been to several wine dinners in the private dining area.

How many people?  I've held private dining events in the upstairs of Tremont Taphouse.  The one room is perfect for 20 people or less.  If you could get the whole upstairs they could probably accommodate 30-35 guests.  I think Luxe over in Gordon Square has a private dining room as well.  Excellent food right in your price range.

I just asked here and she said it'll be about 25-30 people. Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone!

Was going to suggest both of those, but 1.) I don't know if you would eat the service you would want for a rehearsal at tap house. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't add any staff for your event, just have someone come by like you were a regular table and bring you stuff. Maybe they don't care, in which case it's great and I've had two parties up there.

Luxe is great but a little pricey, may want to get a quote.

Then there are places that would shut down for your event like plum, old city soda, cha.  Market garden also has a ton of event space.

Carrie Cerino's.

House of Blues has a couple of options.  You could have it in their Unity Room, which be restaurant style service.  The room holds 70-80, so I don't know if they would close it for you, but they might if it was a slow night when they wouldn't otherwise have it open.  They also have the Cambridge Room, which would be more like a "catered" event, with a dedicated staff and closed to the public.

Try Hodges at E 6 and Euclid -- great food and they have a bunch of rooms they can configure.
