Posted January 25, 20178 yr These photos are from Jan 22 & 23. All photos are south of Liberty St. Tons of rehabbing in all areas for the past 2-3 years with many more projects coming in 2017. This very small house has been on the market for about six months: Elm St. north of Washington Park: 12th between Elm & Central Parkway...for decades it was impossible to take this photo due to nonstop harassment from the Drop-In shelter: New theater: Alley between Elm & Pleasant: Five single-family homes planned for this lot: Some very valuable real estate held up by a lack of off-street parking: Kroger employee parking lot...eventually parking for buildings in earlier photo when and if a new Kroger is built downtown: Former Grammer's Bar...the two buildings on the right were heavily damaged in the 2008 Hurricane Ike wind storm: Back of Kroger: Single-family homes & their driveways take up a huge amount of space: Neon's, RIP:

January 26, 20178 yr The way that they are saving just the facade of this building is incredible to see: It reminds me of those photos of the White House being renovated, where they saved just the facade and demolished the entire interior of the place and rebuilt it.

January 26, 20178 yr It looks like they're building an all-new steel frame building inside and the brick will no longer bear any weight other than itself.
January 27, 20178 yr wow - I'm really not sure what to think about this. I wonder what they are planning to do with the 3rd floor windows that are obstructed by the steel?
