December 5, 20195 yr Great photos, ASPhotoman! I've always felt good black and white photography has its own unique aesthetic quality. Thanks for the fresh look.

All shot on my iPhone XS. I plan on going up sometime in the next week and doing some exploring with my Canon 5D Mark III.
December 6, 20195 yr Almost all of the panels are now off!! Also- the view from the east side especially is incredible. Truly a transformative project for downtown and the skyline? Edited December 6, 20195 yr by urbanetics_
December 7, 20195 yr What a great contributor to the urban fabric. Love the "looming" feeling the Lumen gives upon Euclid. I also really appreciate how much it makes CSU feel like an extension of Downtown in terms of the skyline rather than just the street grid. It starts to feel a lot less like a transition zone. The shots of Rhodes tower from the innerbelt hammer this home.
December 7, 20195 yr That last pic is a cozy little urban scene. Let’s get some density on the north side of Euclid CSU...

December 13, 20195 yr Is that going to be an electronic sign in front of the parking garage that can display different ads throughout the day?

I’m excited about the potential second PHS tower! I’m hoping The Lumen fills up at a record rate and they move on with the second tower, and hopefully it is substantially taller.
December 19, 20195 yr Anyone have any insight as to the prospective demographics on Lumen residents? Primarily local suburbanites looking to downsize? Or YP's who are new to the region? This is going to be interesting to see. I suppose the waiting lists for other downtown residential would help shed some light.

Depends on the pricing - most of the fellow downtown residents that I've met (including myself) are not from the area.

December 20, 20195 yr I love this building! It has quickly moved up to the number 3 spot of my favorite Cleveland high rise buildings (behind TT & Key). Thank you for the great pictures.

It was sunset, so there was a bit of an orange/yellow hue ?

December 21, 20195 yr Amazingly sunny and mild today in Cleveland for Dec. 21. A great day for taking a shot from an angle that puts the Lumen in a larger perspective. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

December 30, 20195 yr No matter how many times I see this building or photograph it, I can never get enough of it.
December 30, 20195 yr Cleveland needs a few more of these to change the feel of the City from a old to a nice blend. I really like cities that have a good mix of old and new such as Chicago.
December 30, 20195 yr It's phenomenal. I just hope that the SW HQ building and the new JC utilize a similar reflective glass design.
December 30, 20195 yr I'd love as many new towers as possible (10! more!) but I would hope they wouldn't all be glass.
December 30, 20195 yr During Winter, Spring and Fall months, including the next week in NEO, reflective glass tends to brighten the otherwise dreary overcast skies. There's plenty of brick and mortar (brown, beige, black) in the existing urban Cleveland fabric. NYC has learned the lesson of dark, urban streets and Cleveland should heed the warning too; almost every new building in NYC is glass (the entire WTC site, 125 Greenwich, One Vanderbilt, 111 Murray St., all of Hudson Yards).
