The agreement will bring the Olympics back to Southern California for a third time - Los Angeles previously hosted in 1932 and 1984. It also opens the door for the 2024 Games to be held in Paris.
July 31, 20177 yr The Wilshire Blvd subway will be completed to UCLA in 2027. No doubt that factored into the decision to bump LA to 2028. Unfortunately the high speed rail is not scheduled to be completed to LA until 2029. It's not easy to bump huge projects like that up by 1-2 years so not sure it's possible since the LA section is hung up in needless controversy over tunneling through ranch land near Palmdale.
