Balconies over the courtyard at Worthington Yards :)

  • 1 month later...

^ whoa - at last! what an awesome transformation of that cool, mysterious courtyard that will be.

That looks fantastic!!  And the rental rates are not horrible......Should fill up quick

^made up of four bldgs, according to the site. too bad just one could not have been condos. There are people who would like to live Downtown but are not going to throw money away in rent. (I know it could be converted later, but generally condos are built to higher specs than apt buildings.)

I really want to live here...  I had a tour once of that courtyard before anything had been changed.  What an amazing space unlike anything else in the city.  It felt like something out of Indiana Jones...  Still cool now that its all cleaned up but there was something about the crumbling stone and vines that was awesome.

Quite nice.

^More to my point above:

Suite Beds Baths  Sq Ft Pricing

203 3 3 1,855 $2,925

206 3 3 2,003 $2,850

There's no way I'd pay $36,000/year to live there with only throwing that money down the toilet, but I would certainly entertain a mortgage payment of that amount if I was the owner. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. There could be a lot more people living downtown if not for this exclusion of people who want to own.

Moderator: Thanks for creating Worthington  Yards own thread.

I saw open house tours for Worthington Yards start today, 5:15 and 6:30pm

Got to look around last week with my uncle. Looks great! My only reservation is the stigma of the post-grad crowd in Warehouse District.

Otherwise, everything is first class.

I'm defiantly going to check it out soon. Interested to see how Johnson Court is looking. That street has all the potential to be a more laid back "escape" from W6th and W9th. Hopefully Dalad got the ball rolling on its transformation.

Johnson Court is full of construction vehicles and materials right now. I don't think they've started work on the court yet.

Can this courtyard be accessed by the public?

It is amazing to see in person.  They will not be accessible to the public to my knowledge, however I was told on a tour that Cleveland Chop would be building an outdoor deck extension that would open up into one of the courtyards, so in that sense, the public will get to experience it partially.

Finally, a historic renovation project in Cleveland that doesn’t have ugly brown kitchen cabinets and granite countertops. The quartz counters and white cabinetry look much sleeker, although I would choose different handles for the cabinets.

I honestly just love the Twitter header that Michelle has.

Leasing is brisk at worthington Yards.

Meantime, an affiliate of Independence-based Dalad Group opened Worthington Yards, 725 Johnson Court, Oct. 1 in the Warehouse District.

Greg Deming, property manager, said he's been surprised by the number of people relocating to Cleveland for new jobs this winter and believes it's the busiest of the last four.

"Usually, December through February are slow," Deming said. "I've never seen it like this. We'll be filled by springtime." He said 70 suites are leased — 60 occupied — and 38 remain to be filled.

I read in another forum ( Nucleus ) where a poster said there is 1 unit left to lease.

If this is true this is great news.

I just toured this project earlier this morning.  Incredible. What a beauty of a development with adaptive reuse, incredible interior greenspace/outdoor patio areas, walkable, architectural details...  kudos to so many who were involved with this project

Courtyard is open to the public for 10 hours during the day too.

I heard this place leased-up very quickly. it is 100% occupied, whereas The Garfield and the Standard

still have units that need to be leased.

It did lease quickly....I toured some 2 bedrooms there, and they are pretty nice.  And they were priced a bit lower than other places.  Probably why it went so quick.

Ahh -  The Final decision on where to rent was based on Price.

So all these new units coming online and those being proposed  -  If they

are all priced extremely high they are going to have a hard time leasing quickly.
