Posted November 10, 20177 yr Friend currently living in Delaware and urgently needs to find another place to live (impending divorce, bad situation) in Columbus, preferably a place (if possible) with a short term lease option, like 6 or 9 months. They cannot seem to find ANYTHING open right now and really need to vacate ASAP. I don't know neighborhoods down there very well but all they need is a one bedroom, preferably a relatively spacious one so they can fit all their stuff from the house in there, but they are open to getting a storage locker for stuff if need be. They would REALLY not prefer a studio. This is where they are looking: "Northeast, north, northwest Columbus, Clintonville, Worthington, Powell, Westerville"
November 10, 20177 yr Powell is out, few apartments there. Few studios in areas listed so that's not a problem. Don't forget about Dublin. Also tons of decent crash landing apartments on Bethel Rd. Other than that I'm not sure if there is that much expertise here outside of Clintonville maybe since we are better with the core and in my case also the "crappy" southern burbs.
November 10, 20177 yr Columbus is a tough apartment market. I'd say Bethel or Sawmill areas are certainly the short-lease choices. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
November 10, 20177 yr Good call on the Sawmill area. Lots of units there. Hopefully they're not ALL leased.
November 10, 20177 yr Check with Sloan Jackson Management, specifically the Riverside Greens apartments. I know the owner (financed the property actually) and he's a very hands on operator and runs his place well.
