Posted December 27, 20177 yr I've gone to NYC about 8 or 9 times in the last few years ... It's been about a year and a half since I've last visited. I'm leaving tomorrow 12/28 and coming back 1/02. What are new places you recommend dining at and cool places to check out? I heard there's a cool observation deck in the new WTC, is it open in winter? My buddies moved from Soho to Queens, so we'll be staying in Queens. Any and all recommendations are welcome and appreciated!
December 28, 20177 yr I went to New Year's on Time Square in 2002...not worth going in my opinion if you don't get there pretty early so that you are remotely close to the action. We were at least 6 blocks from the ball dropping and it wasn't very fun.
December 29, 20177 yr I hear King of Falafel in Astoria has grown from a little food cart to a full restaurant now. That's number one on my list when I get back to NYC. In general, check out Queens since you'll be staying there - IMO the food is way better out there. Flushing beats Chinatown, for example.
December 29, 20177 yr do you like hockey? There's the Winter Classic, although you might freeze to death first https://www.nhl.com/fans/winter-classic http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
