Posted January 12, 20187 yr What's up with the lack of respect for the dead? Are we now that insecure or inept that we can't contain ourselves when someone dies? It's one thing to disagree with someone politically, but in the past 2 months, I've read several comments by that show a lack of candor or respect for people who have passed. We aren't talking about Hitler passing; it's people who have made a difference in their communities and nation. One being this thread. Yeah, he was against the streetcar but he served the city well enough that he was reelected many times. He was also very much pro-transit and helped initially save the city bus system, served in the military in WWII, and was a strong advocate for ending segregation. But that doesn't stop snide comments - even from a moderator, from being displayed. Have some class.
