Posted February 14, 20187 yr Okay, I think we can all benefit from this thread. Personally, my job calls me to every corner of the state, and when nature calls, I am often in TROUBLE. As such, I'm starting this thread to shed light on the best public / quasi-public bathrooms in the state. Here's my list: - Downtown Cleveland 1. Marriot at Key Center 2. Phoenix Coffee E. 9th 3. Cavs Team Shop - Off of 480 1. Embassy Suites (Independence) -Off of 271 1. Aloft (Beachwood) 2. Bahama Breeze (Beachwood) Off of I-80 1. Boulder Creek (Streetsboro) Off of I-71 1. Holiday Inn (Strongsville) 2. Airport Marriot (Cleveland)
February 14, 20187 yr I'm a big fan of casinos. They're open 24/7, they're clean, have multiple stalls, free wi-fi and no one asks any questions. For traveling, the Hollywood Casino in Toledo off of I-75 and Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield off I-271 in Northfield are both good options, and they have free parking. JACK Casinos in Cleveland and Cincinnati are good options if you find yourself in the downtown of either of those cities. University student centers are also desirable, often for the same reasons as casinos.
February 14, 20187 yr Tower City - by the food court :D Kidding. I hated having to use that restroom.

Renaissance hotel had a great bathroom that is locked now. It's nice to have a "public" restroom near the rapid lines so one can relieve themselves before getting on the train.
February 14, 20187 yr Tower City - by the food court :D Kidding. I hated having to use that restroom. You mean you don't like bathrooms that smell like BO ;D ;D
February 14, 20187 yr Cuyahoga County Justice Center might be on my worst list as well I guess that's everywhere. Cincinnati's is really bad, too. I had to go down there to pay a traffic fine and there were stacks of malt liquor cans in all the stalls. The worst bathrooms stick out to me much more than the best ones.

February 14, 20187 yr I'm too lazy to post the actual images but click this link. There's a Cintas best restroom Hall of Fame and the only one featured from Ohio is at Jungle Jims. Very cool bathroom! http://www.bestrestroom.com/us/Hall_of_Fame/2007/junglejims.asp
February 14, 20187 yr Tower City - by the food court :D Kidding. I hated having to use that restroom. That was the first bathroom where I got to use a Dyson Airblade. Haha yes, me too! I also remember when I was much younger that it was one of the first bathrooms I had been to that had automatic toilets and sink faucets. It's a disgusting bathroom, but it always seemed to me to be at the cutting edge of bathroom technology.
February 14, 20187 yr it was one of the first bathrooms I had been to that had automatic toilets and sink faucets That's the last place I'd expect to be on the cutting edge! I hate those automatic toilets! You sit the @ss gasket down (formally known as a toilet seat cover,) move just slightly after doing so and it trips the sensor and yanks it into the toilet bowl and flushes it before you even get a chance to sit down! When you really gotta go, who has time to re-do that process over and over? It's so frustrating. Sometimes cutting edge isn't so good.
February 14, 20187 yr I can't remember where I was...maybe Riverbend Music Center... one of those outdoor concert venues. I walked into the restroom and a bunch of dudes were huddled around basically peeing into a trough. I was like, "Yeah, I'm good. I can hold it" and turned right back around. That's just too weird.
February 14, 20187 yr The trough used to be everywhere. Some places just had 2" deep concrete channels around the edges with warer running through them.
February 14, 20187 yr As a world traveler, I always rely on hotel lobbies for clean, comfortable bathrooms. 4 star and above if possible, but sometimes nature dictates.
February 14, 20187 yr The trough used to be everywhere. Especially county fairs. Cleveland Municipal Stadium had them
February 14, 20187 yr I think the Cincinnati Gardens had them before the early-90s renovation. I found a disposable camera on Bourbon St. in New Orleans in 1999 or 2000. It had about 18 pictures left on it. I started taking photos with it and put it in my sweatshirt pocket when I was using a trough in one of those bars. The trough was clogged up about 6" deep. The camera slid out of my pocket and into the pool. So for the rest of the night people came in there and saw the submerged camera!
