Yeah, I feel like I saw a new build as well in that area as well!

I believe the new build you're referencing is the one on Loth Street. The developer wants to do multiple new constructions around that one. I'm not sure if they sold it before they built it or if they were just hoping to sell it. I haven't seen it listed, so maybe they did sell it before construction.

It like the Old Town part of the original COSI!

Ya know, I've seen worse...

Um...is the house extra or are we only buying an unfinished basement?  With white balance issues?

HAHA!!! I know this basement. Right near my parents and they are in the middle of a "Reno" which may explain the camera-shyness.. It belonged to a woman who passed at 98 and lived there since the 40's then became a rental sometimes for the Cincinnati Christian students and others.  School closed so the owner wanted out of renting & sold it to the current owners. I bet my parents it would be painted gray for the 'gram and to attract the young folk and it was. Pretty cool spot with a bunch of renos and like <10min to city hall if you get the lights. Yes i recognized the garage and not the address,i used to cut yer grass so that she wasnt out there at 70 with a push mower and she would give me cookies....and like $20. Had that P&G money from years of making the Crisco. Seriously!

(am i sounding appropriately 'Jake like" yet Jake? Hope it sells for that. will help out my folks some day who have been there since '72

About five years ago toured a house with a realtor that had the aftermath of a grow operation in the basement.

I looked at a house in Chesterland around 2010 that looked very similar to this. It had a huge bar and lots of ‘entertaining’ space. The old couple who were selling it were clearly swingers (maybe ex-swingers hence the sale) . That place under black light would’ve been eye-opening.

Very funny real estate listing! Check out the pictures at the link below. If you want to start your own galactic empire at this nice home, give the agent a call. And may the Force be with you...

I'm pretty sure that there will be houses (especially rental properties) with defunct Dish Network dishes on them 20+ years from now.

Find some stuff from Nashville to post. We need to make fun of them again-it is time.

I'm headed down there in about six weeks.  Hopefully I'll have a morning or afternoon to walk around a neighborhood.

There are still a ton of small business like this.  I have worked for a few of them or in a building where one of them was in operation.  For example, the famous(?) Bertke Electric in the Bertke Building in Northside (tall part of the Humble Monk brewery) is completely disorganized.  The company I work for still sells a fair number of manila tags.  This is how everything was organized before UPC barcodes.  Like you just wrote a part number and description on the tag and either taped it on the box or the tag had a built-in wire.

I don't know if this falls so much under the category of "weird" but "real estate listings ruined by bad taste" (not that they're so unusual as we can see from Ram's post--also in Lake County!😅). I always loved this historic 1840 Painesville home and was excited to see that it's up for sale. Unfortunately the interior as it currently exists does not match the promise of its architecture. This is one of those situations in which the price has dropped several times and now stands at $320K (roughly one-tenth of what you would pay in Toronto--lol). Someone on instagram's historical homes (which reports the home from 1870, Zillow 1840--whatever, it's old) went so far as to defend the paneling & carpet (don't know if that was intended to be facetious 🤔). That said, it will take far more than $320K to restore this place to its historic luster. Maybe a replica of the Oval Office?
