January 26, 201510 yr btw does anyone have the original store directory for the opening of the Galleria? Would be interesting. Can't find it anywhere. Some I can recall: Eddie Bauer Williams Sonoma Brookstone Banana Republic (first in cleveland I think, was the old quonset hut style) 2 level Express (Including exp which was the mens stuff, I think it was the first men's express in Cleveland before the Structure concept) Units (was a woman's store where everything was basics and in drawers and it was all white inside, I remember it because it was weird and my friend liked to shop there) American High (I think was the name, it was a high school themed apparel store) The Limited Victorias Secret Dino Palmiri salon (maybe opened later, not original) There may have been a Benetton??. There was one later at Tower city That's all I can remember, although if I went in and looked at the store fronts I could probably recall more. March 16, 20169 yr Although I'm too young to truly know the Galleria during its glory days, I've heard about how great it was and it's decline. I think that the Galleria has done a MARVELOUS job at reinventing itself into what it is today.

At least they thought about it. http://www.eberhardarchitects.com/view_project?cat_id=6 Thats hideous. I like Erieview as it is. It's a perfect example of it's era, much as the Breuer Tower is. The Galleria mostly repaired the problem of the once windswept plaza that was originally there, but the tower itself is just fine as-is.

June 29, 20168 yr ^That is only for a limited time depending on traffic. Bigger traffic = Longer hours. I wish this was in more of a visible location, people are so used to not having a reason to go to the Galleria that they will need HEAVY advertising downtown. I hope it succeeds I love Chick-Fil-A! June 29, 20168 yr This is also not listed on Chickfila's coming soon page, which is well-known due to the fact that CFA makes a big deal about store openings. The first 100 customers get free food for a year. I just don't think I'm buying this- unless I'm proved wrong.

June 30, 20168 yr I don't think this will be a full service Chick-fil-a. More than likely this is just a kiosk type outlet with a limited menu of items delivered from their Strongsville location. They've tried this pop up concept in many locations including some malls here in Northeast Ohio, usually during the holidays. This is a way for the company to gauge interest before going in on a full service restaurant. If it does well, you'll see it permanently. If not, nothing is lost.

Was it a blah piece of chicken or is that how it always is? I don't understand the enthusiasm. If it were a chipotle or a panera, I'd get it. But a chick-fil-A?

Their service is excellent; their food quality is high (and they are removing all artificial ingredient to boot); heck, they offer mouthwash and mints in many locations.

June 30, 20168 yr I miss fast food in downtowns :( I hope I'm not misunderstanding your comment, but there is surely some fast food options in downtown...pizza fire, chipotle, jimmy john's, subway, Kafeteria, B-Spot, Potbelly, Kabob House, Charley's Philly, Kelly's Cajun...just to name a few and not including the hot dog carts and other food/convenience places like For Goodness Jake's.

The CEO (who has since passed on) is entitled to how he feels and his restaurant has never turned anyone away or refused any service or anything like that. Furthermore, his views had nothing to do with Chick-fil-A. Conservative Christians still patronize Starbucks even though its CEO is the antithesis of what they stand for. It's all about the product. Stop politicizing EVERYTHING (and I don't mean that you are politicizing Sherman. It's the fact that you shouldn't even have to defend Chick-fil-A because of what happened)

Fair point but a landlord who makes any effort to attract tenants would be a huge upgrade. My company asked for a proposal for leasing 4,000 sqf in the Tower last year and it wasn't remotely competitive. Clearly they weren't investing in the property. In terms of parking, UO members don't want to hear it but most downtown workers want to drive. Adding parking by converting zombie retail space isn't a bad thing. The garage entrance is off E. 12th
