Does anyone know the owner of or any former employees at Jack Flaps (either location) that you'd be willing to put me in contact with? In short, my wife and I used to meet there every Tuesday when I was in law school and she was working on the other side of downtown. We'd each get an order of pancakes every time. It was recently our third anniversary, and we both lamented that Jack Flaps is no longer. I'd love to be able to give her a belated gift of the aroma of Jack Flaps pancakes filling up our house one Sunday morning. Since the restaurant is no longer in operation, I hope the recipe isn't a highly guarded secret anymore! If anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. funny you mention that -- i just read about this new urban diner place from the great flying fig folks in the scene -- maybe they can connect you since they are taking the jf space? 👍 March 15, 2022 Food & Drink » Food News First Look: Karen Small's Juneberry Table, Opening in Early April By Douglas Trattner https://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/first-look-karen-smalls-juneberry-table-opening-in-early-april/Content?oid=38555246&utm_source=feature&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=hpfeatures&utm_content=HomeTopFeature

Obviously it's been reported that they were closing this location, but up until this they've had 'this locn is temporarily closed' in their windows. Welp cat's out of the bag for those not in the know ha. They're also moving furniture into the Blue Agave(?, I think) restaurant on E4 (what was formerly Zocalo).

I never knew him personally so I wouldn't be able to do an introduction or anything. I hope you're able to make it work! Their food was amazing.
