Cool discussion on Twitter:

If you could go back in time and experience any city, which would it be and when?

Some top comments: Tenochtitlan, Augustan Rome, New York City/Amsterdam/London in the late 1800s, The Prague of Rudolph II, and many others.

Classical Athens

Neo-Babylonian Babylon

Tokugawa Shogunate Tokyo

Petra -500 BC-ish?

Maybe some of the earliest civilizations fascinate me the most- Ur/Uruk/Sumer, Mahanjo-Dharo, Catal Huyuk

It'd be really interesting to see some of the Pre-Columbian Native American settlements that dotted NEO, though they weren't "cities" per se

Cahokia, 1200s

Angkor Wat, 1100s

Tenochtitlan, 1400s

Athens, 300BC

Kyoto, 800s

Chaco, 1100s

Samarkand, 400s
