Here's a set from the Rhodes Tower and then some randomness, from a ColDayMan tour (Ohio resident's version) of Columbus the other day.

So, yeah, starting from the top of the Rhodes Tower...

Seems I didn't post any LeVeque pics from the air, but here's one from the ground.

57477723.jpg

ColDay took a picture, so I did, too.

Not Back Street

57477726.jpg

ColDay led me into the wonderful Supreme Court building.  Here's where they lay down the law.

High Street (you may notice across this and other posts that I really enjoy this kind of telephoto shot)

57477833.jpg

Statehouse again

57477834.jpg

Some randomness now from the car.  I forget now which exact neighborhood each of these is from, so someone else can identify if necessary.

Ack... blurry.  (On High Street)

"It's a cock!" insists ColDayMan, after I casually referred to it as a chicken.  (North Market, as is probably obvious)

57477841.jpg

Here are three pictures that manage to make German Village look very uninspiring.

57477844.jpg

57477845.jpg

The last four are basically uglier versions of things you'll find in ColDay's recent East Side thread.

No more.  Thanks to ColDayMan for the excellent tour!

Interesting perspective.  Thanks for the tour.

Someone help me out here...

The Old Post Office (not sure what it's used for now).

Awesome pics!! I still need to visit the Supreme Court Building, looks great.

That's the "Old, Old Post Office" (as opposed to both the "new" and "old" Post Offices)... which is now home to Bricker & Eckler (law firm).

Oh .. and fanstastic pics.

Thanks for the ID on the old old post office.

at one time, the brickler & ekler/old old post office building was also a u.s. courthouse...

German Village shots from the Rhodes Tower were particularly nice.  Also like the "Bridges!" - lots of character

Thanks

The "old" post office looks like a church.

I think the "old, old" moniker someone put on that photo is correct.  Before heading out to Spring-Sandusky, I thought the previous post office was along Front or Marconi.

Nice Pic's! btw, don't worry about your blurry picture on high street, that is how most people probably see it anyway :-D

^That's pretty funny...

Definitely, nicely done...I don't remember having seen the bridges before, and I am a river viewer, after all...

I love that "I see Wendy's" view - where you think you can actually see a Wendy's somewhere in eastern Indianapolis...very cool...thank you!

These are great!

Not to change the subject, but before I left for more waterlogged pastures, I had become fascinated in Columbus bridges as well. http://www.roadfan.com/colbrid.html (index of pages concerning the "interesting" designs in Columbus)

Looks good.

The high-rise shots are fantastic. Only from a helicoptor could you get any better views. Thanks!

This display is amazing.
