Met up with RiverViewer the other day, who kindly carted my sister and I around a bit and showed us some of his favorite river views.  Here's just a handful of pictures.

Krohn Conservatory and bridges beyond

View from near St. Rose church, if I recall correctly

This is a really cool view, I think.  The river, a hill, a hillside neighborhood, and the tops of skyscrapers, all at once!

A bit later, some people flying kites

No need to caption this one

R.I.P. RiverViewer's Montgomery Inn cap.  The wind took it right off his head as we walked across the Taylor-Southgate Bridge!  But what better place for RiverViewer to lose a hat than in the Ohio River?

Made a stop at the overlook at Fairview Park after parting ways with RV.

No way I was leaving without a panorama, of course!

Nice... which day was this?

Great shots!  I enjoy the shot with Krohn Conservatory in it the best.

I could care less that churches don't pay property tax.

edit: Great shots, BTW.

very nice views, i liked the pano best.

Real nice pics.  I have yet to visit Cincy, but just from pictures, I can't believe how similar it looks to Pittsburgh (or rather, how similar Pittsburgh looks to Cincy)  :)

Was this on Saturday because I was in Eden Park for much of the day on Sat and possibly could have seen you.

Yup, 'twas Saturday, in the early afternoon.

Yeah, at noon we met at Carew Tower, attempting in vain to get to the observation deck - the attendant decided not to show up that morning, and the security guard told me he'd had at least 60 people coming around to ask about going up...second time I've tried to go up there and not been able to...aargh...they'd gotten someone in by 3:30 or so, but that was too late for me to go back by then...

Eden Park was probably 12:30, 1pm - both the lower and upper overlooks, back to the water tower and through the Twin Lakes, but that was all we did in Eden Park - didn't get south of the Melan Arch Bridge at all...

Oh, very nicely photographed, by the way!  Alas, my poor hat, I weep for thee...but yeah, your zoom kicks my zoom's ass!

oink oink!

RV have you ever been up the "hidden", old stairs behind the lower, Twin Lakes overlook?  They cut through the woods and go up to the upper overlook.

I was there that day as well... visited Eden park, the Art Museum and Krohn...  :)

I agree with Superstarmark....I too have never been to Cincy, but it does remind me of Pittsburgh..they did a decent job of copying of off of Cincy!  :)

Very, very cool.  Sorry to hear (see) about the hat!  It can get windy up on that bridge, that's for sure.

Nice shots.

Indeed - that was our path up...those rock!  Nicely tucked away...though if it's been at all wet out, the top is a real pain to navigate...
