Blurb on the Bingham from Inside Business. Sounds like things are going well.

No Vacancies

The downtown Cleveland housing market may not be so saturated after all. A source close to the owners of The Bingham luxury loft apartment building in the Warehouse District tells IB the first 127 one-bedroom units — which started leasing on June 1 — have already been snapped up by renters.

FOUND THIS ON THE www.PLAINDEALER.com FORUM.

I wonder why they wrote "the downtown Cleveland housing market may not be so saturated after all". The writer acts like nobody is moving downtown anymore.

the PD likes to be down on the city every now and then

hey what's up with the all caps, nsc?

p-d sucks, but I have a picture of this building is anyone is intrested. Near the Rockefeller building.

First, the article is from Inside Business, not the Plain Dealer.

Second, I think the writer was suggesting that the downtown housing market has more demand than supply (if it's saturated, it means that renters/buyers have too many options).

F.E., the Bingham is about three blocks northwest of the Rockefeller - are you thinking of something else?

^probably, maybe. But the PD still bites.

I've never met anyone who likes their local newspaper. How do these fishwraps stay in business? :D

Resource Real Estate to acquire the Bingham apartments in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A national real estate company will acquire the Bingham apartments in Cleveland's Warehouse District, after entering the only bid Monday at a foreclosure auction in federal court.

Resource Real Estate, the note-holder on the historic warehouse building, bid $25 million for the property, which houses 340 apartments and a grocery store on West Ninth Street. Resource initiated a foreclosure after buying the note in March, during an auction of delinquent loans by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
