Zombie Dogz owners opening restaurant on Brown Street

A food truck business announced plans to open a new brick and mortar restaurant near the University of Dayton.

 

Zombie Dogz, which specializes in gourmet hot dogs, said in a Facebook post that after this season the truck will only operate for festivals and events and the owners plan to open a restaurant the storefront occupied until recently by Shish Wraps, which suddenly closed in April.

Pizza chain planning 'flagship' Kettering location

With deals in the works to majorly expand its footprint, Rapid Fired Pizza is planning a new 'flagship' store in Kettering.

 

The new location for the store will be the former Krispy Kreme Donuts at 2001 E. Dorothy Lane. Kelly Gray, co-founder of the chain, said this morning that she's dropping the lease off today for the 3,850-square-foot freestanding building for the landlord to sign.

Submarine House will open its largest location yet around late October in the Normandy Square Shopping Center, at 503 Miamisburg Centerville Road.

^^ Always looking forward to seeing more things in St. Anne's. I'd love to see a nice low-key bar or restaurant open in one of those corner storefronts that's actually within the neighborhood and not just along 5th, like you see throughout Ohio City or something. A new rendering shows the restaurant planned by Fuyao Glass America near the auto glass giant's local plant.

 

The Dayton Business Journal previously reported the 8,000-square-foot restaurant was under construction next to the Moraine plant, which will be for Fuyao employees and the public when open.

An Oregon District restaurant is planning to move its business across downtown Dayton and expand to a larger space.

 

The 5th Street Wine and Deli will be moving to the former Canal Street Tavern, where it will change its name, expand its menu, add a bar and include arcade games.

Better they move again than go under. They've got a nice, eclectic menu, and maybe the move away from downtown will let them be able to expand hours.

Fuyao Glass America Inc. has reached an agreement for two local restaurateurs to manage its new restaurant as a second location.

 

Henry and Linda Wang, the owners of North Village Chinese Restaurant on Jasper Street near the University of Dayton, will manage the new restaurant Fuyao is building next to its auto glass plant in Moraine, which will open in October.

An Ohio-based Mexican restaurant chain is planning to open new restaurants in Dayton and Xenia.

 

The restaurants will be the fourth and fifth locations of Victor's Taco Shop. Victor's has existing locations in Delaware, Marion and Fairborn.

Chicken chain coming to Dayton area

A carry-out heavy chicken wings chain is planning to come to the Dayton market.

 

A new franchise of Dallas-based Wingstop signed a lease to open its first of four Dayton-area locations in Miamisburg, said Ric Moody of Dayton Commercial Realty, who represents the franchisee.

A popular chicken chain is planning to enter the Dayton market, starting with a Washington Township restaurant.

 

Raising Cane's will open its first local restaurant at 1136 Miamisburg Centerville Road, near Whole Foods, and as one of four to five proposed Dayton market locations.

The owners planning Dayton's first cat café have a location in mind.

 

Gem City Catfé has a space at 1513 E. Fifth St. in St. Anne's Hill under contract, the business said in a press release.
