I guess it could just be branded The Gwynne (or something similar) and not be part of a national brand. That seems to have worked well for the Bottleworks Hotel in Indy.

The building is looking magnificent! Exterior work looks just about complete. Looks like buildout is about start, still no confirmation on Hotel Operator. What a absolute gem!

  • Steady progress on the new Pendry Hotel. I had the opportunity to take a recent peek at the plans and it really is going to be a best in class property and elevate the city big time. The building will

New steel can be seen going up on the roof, not exactly sure what the structure is for I’m assuming mechanical

Looks so good from this angle. I've been curious as to why they blocked over those windows, tho I'm not sure if they were windows before. I'm hoping they get a coat of paint or some attention to look better. Also just want to add that work recently began on the portal like vaults on the ground floor. I'm very excited to see the results there.

Im certain a lot of work is still to come on the backside of the building to make it look decent.

I'm not sure what their plan is for this space, but it appears there is an elevator/stair shaft that will go up above this new floor, so hopefully it will be a fully accessible story for amenities or meeting spaces. The views from up there would be nice!

Looks like new windows on the back side!

More are in and looks great. Big increase in construction workers now on site. Looks like full build out is underway.

East Side View from today, window installation, I also noticed that crews have cut large squares into the smaller attached building. I wonder what they are gonna use it for? Maybe one of the restaurants/food and beverage. Also on the back side they are putting the large frame windows.

It looks like some of the "new" windows on the smaller building may have been previously existing ones that were bricked up!

Windows: "this will be a parking lot for at least 25 more years, folks"

Oh yeaaah I didn't notice the old outlines!

These windows face Leslie Alley (10 foot public right-of-way): Google Street View. Across the alley, the parking lot is owned by an unaffiliated entity, St. Xavier Church. You may well be correct that the parking lot will remain parking for a long time, but I don't think the re-opening of these windows in any way reduces the viability of that surface parking lot to be redeveloped into a higher and better use.

No major updates here but work continues on The Gwynne Building. I hear it daily.

Gosh I LOVE this building! So important to save these structures for the next few decades since so many of their contemporaries have long since been hauled to the dump.

Does anyone know when the hotel is scheduled to open?
