I recently started getting ads popping up in the middle of threads/discussions  (in between forumer posts) on both my laptop and iphone.  I've always had ads appear on the top and bottom of the pages, but never in the middle of the threads.  Can a mod please explain to me why this started and if there is a way to stop it.  It really interrupts the flow of a thread as I'm going down the page.  I completely understand the need for ads, but not in the middle of a discussion. Thanks.

    Yes same here. I believe it started yesterday and yes it's fairly annoying.

    We haven't changed any of the ad settings in quite some time.  I believe google changes their formats quite regularly though and I'm sure that's why it is happening.  I will look into it and see if we can make adjustments.

    Google adsense has an "auto ad" setting that allows them an attempt to place ads in most any area which would result in better performance for revenue.  I've turned it off and now you should only see the ads in header and footer.  

     

    You can make all ads disappear by becoming a premium member! ?
