Going to try my best to be there

@MayDay ooh a special guest?? I'm kinda intrigued now.

Wish I could attend, out of town this week and next.  Everyone enjoy!

Can we try to guess the special guest?

My current status is "Probable."  I'd be able to stay for 30 min, since I work in the burbs.   May be a gametime decision day of!

Aaron Renn

James Howard Kunstler

Maybe I'll actually go to this one and finally meet some other weirdos obsessed with Cleveland development.

Lol and if you somehow got Kunstler hell ya I'm in.

The San Diego Chicken

The (wo)man, the myth, the legend, @Terdolph? Or is it Lebron? It's probably Lebron.

When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?

Great turnout!

Enjoyed conversation / seeing old faces and meeting some new ones.

Thank you. That was my guess, lol. I’m sorry I missed it.

I'm sure we all had a lot going on with the holidays and new year and everything. It would be nice to do this again. Although I can no longer easily walk to Market Cafe.

Yes, I guess we're due for another meet up. I'm struggling to think of somewhere other than Market that's:

  • Centrally located (downtown/CBD)
  • Easily accessible via main transit/trolley lines
  • Can accommodate our group without major hassle (anymore we routinely fill at least one of the communal tables at Market)
  • Offers variety of dining for anyone with dietary constraints
  • Relatively budget friendly

If anyone has suggestions, let me know - thanks!

^Thought about that, and in theory it'd be great but a few concerns:

  • First floor is a non-starter - too much commotion especially at lunchtime for a large group
  • Second floor (north/Euclid side) - their communal tables only hold eight each and not sure if those are movable? I think our last meetup at Market we had about 16 people ?
  • Second floor (west/East Ninth side) - last time I checked, we'd need to probably take over every non-hightop they have

Sausalitos?

How about Ohio City Galley on West 25th Street? It's not in the CBD but it's right across the D-S bridge from the CBD with very frequent transit service.
