Hey Mods.  How do I quote someone in one thread and have it appear in another?  I'm specifically thinking when a thread is going off topic and you want to continue the conversation further in the appropriate thread.

On PC:

(1) Start in the thread you want to quote from.  Use the "quote" feature and a quote box will appear in the editor (like the one I'm using to quote you).

(2) The whole box is an object you can cut (Ctrl-X) and paste (Ctrl-V) into the editor on the thread you actually want to move the discussion to.

(3) Make sure you get the whole box and not just the text, because if it is has the "{user} said:" part still in the header, that person should get a notification that they've been quoted, even if the quote is now in a different thread.  [And of course you can mention in the original thread that you're moving the new line of conversation to a thread where it will be more on-topic.]

^This (Command-C / Command-V on Mac)

You can also report the topic and a Mod can merge the discussion into the appropriate thread.

On a Mac here. After clicking on Quote, I click anywhere in the reply box and hit ⌘A (to select all) and ⌘C (to copy). Then go to the new thread, click inside the reply box and hit ⌘V to paste. I assume the same actions would work on a PC using Control instead of Command.
