What can I say, 2020 has been one h3ll of a year, and so many of the events that I not only looked forward to but also kept me happy and grounded taking photos went 'poof' thanks to COVID-19. With that, I'm finding my comfort level as things go along, i.e. indoor events with lots of people = a hard NO, but outdoor happenings with mask requirements and social distancing ... I can maybe work with that.

Thanks to the staff at Goodtime III - with calling ahead, my husband and I snagged a spot on the top deck. When we got there, I soon realized we were the only people on the uppermost deck and due to the Goodtime's COVID relating seating policies, that was the case the entire cruise. I know it's not ideal for their business model, but for a photographer who zips back and forth from either side of the ship, it was one of the first 'good times' I've had since things took a turn for the worse. Any other photographers out there looking to support a local business and get some great photo opps, I highly encourage checking them out. I'm going to upload these in batches as I get them processed - probably going to be well over 100 by the time I'm done.

Normally, I'd link to 'Good Times' by Chic, but I'm waiting for those times to come back like this. Hope everyone is healthy, safe and well and has a great holiday weekend.

Since I don't get out on the Lake much lately, when did Key Tower add the satellite discs on their crown?

Beautiful pics, nice job! The lawns downtown will always bug me weirdly and just don't fit. Nobody is ever on them. But that is my weird pet peeve.

Outstanding pics @MayDay! I’m with you on the satellite disks on the crown of Key as well. Not a fan.

Those lake and river views are gonna change soon with SHW added to the mix. Can’t wait for that!

VERY nice.  Darn you and these great angles!

They look like microwave relay antennae rather than satellite.

Fantastic photo tour, MayDay!  Can't wait to see the rest.

Best city on the Great Lakes!

We took the tour last Sunday, and I took a bunch of photos.  I have never posted photos on UO before, so if someone would point me to instructions, I would be grateful.  Let the good times roll!  Thanks.

Adjectives & superlatives!!

Here are the first six.  At the rate that these uploaded, it will take a long time to get them all out there, unless there is a faster way.  I apologize that some of these photos will be repetitive views relative to photos already posted by others.

If your slow uploads are because of huge file size (common with good cameras), there is freeware that will shrink the files without much loss of useful display data.  Here's one that will do it online:

https://photosize.net/

There are others that are downloadable. Just google free photo reduction software.

I'm maxed-out on photos too. I don't know why. I hardly ever post here on this forum.

Premium members have a 500mb photo capacity.   It must be capped at a much lower limit for non-premium members.

Yes, a lot lower although I don't know what it is. I didn't know there were perks to paying to support UO. In fact, I forgot there was a sponsorship.

IIRC @richNcincy raised the limit from 100MB to 200MB total a while back. Which is appreciated, but still (understandably) limited.  That’s why I usually try to link to photos on other sites rather than uploading here.

When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?

Hmmm, something seems a little off with the lady party boat picture or perhaps maybe I need to lay off the booze some....?

Milwaukee has a nice skyline.

Anyway, I-90 west is my favorite way to go into Cleveland.

I think there's a parallel universe where I'm living in Toronto and I'm jealous of the other me.

My current favorite view is from the Garfield Monument, although my preference seems to change every couple of years. ?Unfortunately the observation desk was closed for renovations last year when I visited Cleveland. This shot is from 2008. I would love to see the current day version with all of the new development that I saw on the ground.IMG_1405.thumb.jpg.d0b47e0fd1e261bc7cb9c3d0ad806681.jpg
