Posted September 5, 20204 yr What can I say, 2020 has been one h3ll of a year, and so many of the events that I not only looked forward to but also kept me happy and grounded taking photos went 'poof' thanks to COVID-19. With that, I'm finding my comfort level as things go along, i.e. indoor events with lots of people = a hard NO, but outdoor happenings with mask requirements and social distancing ... I can maybe work with that. Thanks to the staff at Goodtime III - with calling ahead, my husband and I snagged a spot on the top deck. When we got there, I soon realized we were the only people on the uppermost deck and due to the Goodtime's COVID relating seating policies, that was the case the entire cruise. I know it's not ideal for their business model, but for a photographer who zips back and forth from either side of the ship, it was one of the first 'good times' I've had since things took a turn for the worse. Any other photographers out there looking to support a local business and get some great photo opps, I highly encourage checking them out. I'm going to upload these in batches as I get them processed - probably going to be well over 100 by the time I'm done. Normally, I'd link to 'Good Times' by Chic, but I'm waiting for those times to come back like this. Hope everyone is healthy, safe and well and has a great holiday weekend. I'm under the impression this is a rental yacht out of Chicago? A little choppy so we didn't go out past the breakwall. Oh good, my pilot finally brought my ride! ? Love how the different sections bounce between matte/shine: Back in 2016, there were about 100 more police on bicycles practicing in this same spot: Since I don't get out on the Lake much lately, when did Key Tower add the satellite discs on their crown? Seriously, Key Tower has some weird face looking things going on: I'm a bit on the salty side so I'm cool with this. Sincere question - I know a lot of cities have bridges, quite a few have lift bridges but how many can pull together a pic like this? New and full figured vs. classic and svelte This was a pleasant surprise when I realized how much was going on in this pic: Another pleasant surprise on the framing of this: Added another batch, 9/5/2020 Added September 9th: clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
September 5, 20204 yr Beautiful pics, nice job! The lawns downtown will always bug me weirdly and just don't fit. Nobody is ever on them. But that is my weird pet peeve.
September 5, 20204 yr Outstanding pics @MayDay! I’m with you on the satellite disks on the crown of Key as well. Not a fan. Those lake and river views are gonna change soon with SHW added to the mix. Can’t wait for that!
September 5, 20204 yr Author ^ I know they've had equipment on the crown before, I just don't recall them being so obnoxious. Anyhoo, added about 40 more pics (and still not even to the half-way point of the cruise) - enjoy! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
September 6, 20204 yr VERY nice. Darn you and these great angles! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

September 13, 20204 yr We took the tour last Sunday, and I took a bunch of photos. I have never posted photos on UO before, so if someone would point me to instructions, I would be grateful. Let the good times roll! Thanks. Edited September 13, 20204 yr by urb-a-saurus

September 14, 20204 yr Here are the first six. At the rate that these uploaded, it will take a long time to get them all out there, unless there is a faster way. I apologize that some of these photos will be repetitive views relative to photos already posted by others. Edited September 18, 20204 yr by urb-a-saurus

If your slow uploads are because of huge file size (common with good cameras), there is freeware that will shrink the files without much loss of useful display data. Here's one that will do it online: https://photosize.net/ There are others that are downloadable. Just google free photo reduction software. Remember: It's the Year of the Snake

September 19, 20204 yr I'm maxed-out on photos too. I don't know why. I hardly ever post here on this forum. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

Yes, a lot lower although I don't know what it is. I didn't know there were perks to paying to support UO. In fact, I forgot there was a sponsorship. That’s why I usually try to link to photos on other sites rather than uploading here. When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?
September 19, 20204 yr Hmmm, something seems a little off with the lady party boat picture or perhaps maybe I need to lay off the booze some....? Edited September 19, 20204 yr by Mildtraumatic
