Posted December 15, 20204 yr Walking down the W. Clifton hill. This is the spot where the address skips from the 200 block to the 2100 block, one of the city's most obnoxious address irregularities: Property of the enigma that is God's Bible College:
December 15, 20204 yr I'm the first to comment?? Thanks Jake, awesome photos as always. I was volunteering once and there was a person from God's Bible College. I was confused because she said "Bible College" and I asked like three times which one? Ahhh, it's called "Bible College"! The growth on Liberty south is pretty incredible as it's butting all the way up to Liberty now. For a long time that area of Walnut/15th/Vine/Liberty was all abandoned for the most part. I lived in that area for awhile and was mugged and was sketched out a lot of the time. The Liberty Street project is interesting in that it is definitely an improvement but seems like they missed the mark and could have done much more. I hope they really light up the cross walks with LED's in ground and ped signs. Does anyone know if they are doing this? I always thought that Clifton corridor would be an awesome high-tech company corridor. Why don't we recruit these San Fran / NYC startups? One of the shortcomings of the Cranley admin, put all the money to police. Makes me hope for another Mallory term at Mayor, we may get it?? That area of Cincinnati is ever growing. Downtown is far behind the pace it seems but as time goes on things are improving.
December 15, 20204 yr I like that 2x2 windows are being used in some of the latest rehabs. The 1x1 panes looked out of place.
December 15, 20204 yr Nice photos! Where was that volleyball court? Was that close to God's Bible College?
December 15, 20204 yr While the Liberty road diet is a bit disappointing, the new median on Liberty street between Elm and Race will help crossing at Pleasant which you have shown here, and hopefully have some shade trees as well. I love the shots of the Clifton/Vine intersection and the slopes of OTR. It's that last piece of OTR that I really look forward to seeing get redeveloped and beautified.
December 15, 20204 yr Easily the crown jewel neighborhood of Cincinnati if not the entire midwest. Our very own mini-european, "old town".

Yes I've been right by there many times but didn't read the sign until just now. I always assumed the city owned it and it was part of the rec center across the street. God's Bible College is a weird, weird place. The main building is weird and the complex is weird. I have dealt with the administration and students many times on deliveries and it's like an outpost of extreme Southern rural evangelism. If you drive around the South you will encounter these random bible colleges out in the middle of nowhere and this one is a lot like that, but in a city. I would expect that at some point God's Bible college sells off some of its land since it's all now quite valuable.
