Hello, all.

I am starting this thread while also showing our forums newest member @RaptorSheds(Ben) how the forum works. He lives in Cleveland Heights and is a huge proponent of enjoying life with chickens.

Chickens in the city can be tough.  I have an aunt in-law who has quite a few in Cincinnati, so needless to say, we get plenty of fresh eggs!

I think the biggest complaint with them is noise and chickens escaping and "terrorizing" the neighborhood on occasion.

Kinda on topic; we were walking around the lakefront early on Sunday morning and there was an albino(?) wild turkey casually strolling around at the back of the Rock Hall

A few weeks back I was in Cleveland and biking through Gordon Square/Italian neighborhood. There was a chicken and cat walking around together in a vacant lot.

my spouse had two chickens when she was a kid. they lived very near downtown dayton. she sez they would follow her around the back yard and do a happy cluck when she would turn over a rock or something for them and find bugs. how cute lol. of course later the parents got rid of them.

out here in nyc there are chickens everywhere, mostly in the boros and in poultry businesses, which as you can imagine you can smell a block away lol. we even had chickens briefly near one of my work sites in the bx, but not for long ... rats. also, underground cockfighting is an unfortunate thing.
