Posted April 9, 200619 yr We spent the day in and around downtown enjoying the beautiful day. We started with Price Hill Chili, next was Union Terminal. While there we went to the History Museum and saw the new Omnimax film about Greece. After that we headed to the Vernon Manor for a few quick photos up on the terrace except the sun was not cooporating. Then we went for a walk through Lytle Park to the riverfront and finished the day at Union Station Video Cafe. I took some photos along the way, here they are:
April 9, 200619 yr Aren't the mosaics in union terminal f-in awesome? Theres parts of it they moved to CVG too that are cool. Have you seen the model of Cincinnati (I think from around the 30s?) in the Cincinnati history museum? It's great.
April 9, 200619 yr We are museum members so I have seen the 1940's museum models quite a few times. I have to say I am sadened to see all the streetcars & inclines that are no longer running. :( I took a couple of photos of the scaled model but they didn't turn out right.

April 9, 200619 yr wow spring has really sprung in front of the terminal and in lytle park. nice. and the rope climbers is about the coolest pic i have ever seen. the colors are very vibrant in there.
April 10, 200619 yr ^Does the digital clock not work, or was this a case of photography not being able to capture it? I know they are supposed to actually be blinking, but I can't remember the science behind it. When you videotape a computer monitor, many times it will roll. Anyway, excellent shots, its nice to see everything beginning to have some color.
April 10, 200619 yr Excellent pics as always Monte! Union Terminal rotunda = my favorite room in Cincy, with the Hall of Mirrors Ballroom a close second.
