Posted September 8, 20213 yr It's been a long while since I've photographed anything in Cleveland, and I'm not sure I've really done much in the city since I moved out nearly five years ago. After criss-crossing the region for the past several days, I dipped into the city just briefly to photograph the skyline. It will be interesting to see how this changes with the introduction of Sherwin-William's new skyscraper. One of the things that I miss about Cleveland was the variety of subjects. I know that I've focused a lot on its grit, but it's infrastructure really gives the city a lot more depth. The valley, though, remains its weakness (at least from the air). It's not gritty enough since so much has been demolished yet it hasn't been redeveloped into a bustling district of residences, offices, and parkland. For now, a lot of it is just gravel lots and grassy patches that mark where things used to be. It's hard to present the city skyline from these angles because of it, so I've tried my hardest to obscure those features through creative layering. There are days when I wish I had a drone with a variable lens attachment. I'd love to use a telephoto lens to capture the Main Street Bridge as it winds its way through the buildings. I really love the contrast in the Huntington Bank (BP) building. I was lucky to capture the RTA in action. I unfortunately used a slower shutter speed. I love the mural but have always struggled to capture it from the ground. How awesome would it be if the hole in the foreground was infilled with a parklet? The blue was a fitting touch for the tower. I believe it is to mark Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. My final shot was from the top of the Terminal Tower. I had to color correct one of the lights which was green. I hope you enjoyed this brief set from Cleveland. Edited September 8, 20213 yr by seicer

September 8, 20213 yr These are great shots! What drone are you using? A few years back I took my DJI Phantom 4 pro up to Cleveland and got a handful of really good pictures. I've since moved on to DJI's smaller drone offerings, using a mini 2.

I was looking at the newer DJI drones that have higher MP counts but it doesn't appear to be any better at low light than what I have.
