Makes me look forward to the day when the empty parking lot behind City Club on Prospect gets developed too. Euclid is running out of space!

The (literal) parking crater next to Union Club is all that remains on Euclid. We’ve come a long way.

But there are still a lot more elsewhere - 4th & Prospect, 8th & Prospect, 9th & Bolivar, as well as the area surrounding SHW.

Awesome!  Question - from this rendering it looks like the finished building will be taller than the current crane height.  Previous conversation was that it would come in under the current crane height.  I realize that this is just a creative rendering (and a very cool one).  Just wondering.

I think it just looks like that from the prospective used for the overlay, makes it look bigger than the crane it's not. Just like making someone look taller in a picture by moving them in the foreground and having a smaller person be slightly behind them.

Why is the steel coming out of the concrete columns so much higher on this current floor than the previous ones?

Nvmd I think I understand what's going on lol

Looking at the Jan 30th pic and this one from today it looks to be about a floor a week? If I'm counting right they're on 9th/10th now and the prior pic looks like the same progress through 8th/9th.

Nice shot! I think it will look great heading  west on Euclid. We have waited an awful long time to fill in that empty lot. And while l usually prefer taller buildings in this case l think the scale fits in with its neighbors.

At any rate, sooo glad to finally see that gap-toothed section filled in. Thank you City Club.

I just realized the second floor of the restaurant will have an outdoor patio/seating area above the sidewalk. Pretty sweet.

My little contribution on the way for a few beverages at Southern Tier.

Just woke up on the 7th floor. Not as comfy as home but the views are nice.

Nice lighting on 668. Christmas colors?

Today’s update - because there can never be too many construction updates!!

can't wait for the facade to start getting installed. Renderings looked really cool and I think it's going to bring some nice color to an area that has mainly tan/beige buildings.

Working on the 11th floor already?

Fun little architectural history detail that you can spot in this photo... the building to the right has Chicago windows!

The Chicago window is a specific style of window with a large central fixed pane, and two smaller operable sash windows on either side.

Maybe they can punch out a few openings in that side wall and put in a few Chicago windows.

an updated layover image to enjoy

Are there any apartment layouts for this building yet?  A cursory Google search has not revealed any.

This building will look impressive when its done.  it already has great street presence and its only half done

Maybe City Club II on the Prospect side someday?

Today’s update - lots of new framing and walls going up!

Love this project - Maybe a mural on that wall on 668?

Anybody know what happened to the construction camera they had going? I was curious to take a look at it and the link is now gone from the CCA website. It would be a shame if they took it down less than halfway through the build.

(Listen, how’s a junky supposed to get his fix under these conditions?!)

Right there with you man. I've been in a deep depression for days since I saw the link wasn't working anymore.

Aren't residents supposed to be moving into the first few floors by June?

Seems to be cutting it a little close considering it's basically March.

They've averaged about 3 floors per month since December. At that pace they should top out in early June. It's possible they'll have the lowest floors furnished in June/July.

I'm on the list to receive information about leasing and haven't heard a word. I'd love it if there were residents by June. How long do you guys think it might be from the time they release floor plans and leasing info until they have move ins?

June seems wildly unrealistic tbh

With the Lumen, they opened leasing right before the pandemic-induced economic shutdown. I was lucky to get in for a tour on March 4, 2020 right before the shutdown. The first move-ins came later that summer, roughly four months later IIRC. The Lumen was completely topped out and all of the glass curtainwall was installed by the time leasing started. We're a long way from that at City Club.

Boy, if that timeline holds true with City Club, it seems like there won't be move ins until the fall.

I wouldn't expect move-ins until a year from now. The Lumen was topped out Jan. 8, 2020. Move-ins didn't start until seven months later. Granted that was a bigger building and the pandemic slowed down their completion schedule. But the City Club probably isn't going to be topped out until sometime this summer. Then add another six months or so for the first move-ins.

Yea, I'd say late fall 2023, or Spring 2024.

We’ve got ourselves a window!

Don’t get me wrong, I like the shades of purple this building will become, but I kinda wish it would stay this yellowish/orange color 🫢 🤭
