March 1, 20232 yr yes indeed ... bringing euc back ... one building at time ... and more to come eastward ...

March 2, 20232 yr Awesome pics @Agreene! Can I ask which drone you use? I just bought one for the main purpose of taking photos like this.

Just remembered that the lounge and bathrooms down the hall from my old office had a good view of that parking lot a decade ago. So I walked right in like I belonged there and no one questioned me. 😎 I figured that since pictures from Maria's Lounge/parking deck won't get a good vantage point anymore, I'd better get some altitude. March 3, 20232 yr Someone posted a shot from one of the lifts on r/Cleveland, if I wasn't on my work computer I'd post the link but it's got to be the top thing on there right now.

March 5, 20232 yr They grow up so fast these days. But we love watching. This project is really going to make that south side of Euclid look more grown up.
March 5, 20232 yr Was downtown yesterday, this along with Sherwin Williams has incredible street presence. Also, I love Euclid, such a great city street.
March 8, 20232 yr Thats how they build the floors. Those tables are the base for the concrete pour. One concrete is cured they roll them out and lift in place for the next floor
March 9, 20232 yr 4 hours ago, JohnSummit said: Is that some kind of surface that concrete doesn't adhere to? They spray something onto the surface after setting up the forms, probably oil. You'll see the color change from red/brown to darker tomorrow.
March 9, 20232 yr Kinda shocked to see how fast the windows are going in as the building is still half its full size. They’re on a mission.
March 9, 20232 yr Those reflective windows are going to look amazing!! And you even got a worker to pose for you.

March 9, 20232 yr The problem is all these new units downtown are so nice. I wouldn’t want to leave my house either lol. In NYC, leaving your apartment is a form of mental survival.
March 9, 20232 yr I can’t wait for the colored exterior panels to go up. I never thought the renderings gave a good sense of what the final look would be. The color, texture, pattern, etc will make a big difference on how the building looks. I’m excited to see how that turns out.
March 10, 20232 yr I really want to like this building, but I guess I just don’t get it. Those random protrusions… the purple paint… That inverted arc canopy thing on the roof. I know aesthetics are subjective, but this thing just rubs me the wrong way. I hope I like it better when it’s finished.
March 10, 20232 yr Author It looks like the 13th floor has an extra high ceiling. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

March 10, 20232 yr Like The 9 (and hopefully the Centennial soon enough), so exciting to see a previously pitch black property all lit up!

March 11, 20232 yr Let’s see how it actually turns out in reality - who knows, maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised But I don’t think it’s designed for the conservative in taste.
March 11, 20232 yr Also I think it's important to look at the street as a whole and not just this building because yes on it's own you could say it's not a good design/color scheme/facade etc but once it's in place on the street and you see it in person in context it will look much better. The last thing we want are our streets filled with monotone brown structures. For example, I don't like the Beacon design but I think seeing it in person it looks much better because it's different than the surrounding buildings in design and it meshes nicely giving the area some diversity. City Club will do the same
March 11, 20232 yr If someone had told me we were getting a purple apartment building with sort of a carport top and windows that jutted out at odd angles l would have said "Uh, probably not." But when l saw the pics of the building l loved it. It was very modern and different in what l thought was a good way. So if the end result is as cool as the pics l will be very happy. I think we need to modernize downtown and get away from the beige. Keep 'em coming.
