March 16, 20232 yr I spoke with Cleveland Cement on Tuesday about the project and they stated they are on the 15th floor now. Doesn't look like 15 from this photo/angle, so they must have started on the columns up to the 15th slab.

I guess the next post will be that City Club is definitely building a 60 story tower on top of the art museum. It has been suggested/speculated that City Club has an interest in UC for a second development. There might even be some unannouced concrete basis to this like many things suggested on the board which are in early stages. Or again it could just be pure speculation. Certainly, at this point, no site has been identified and certainly nothing has been "announced" by the developer.

Again, it has been suggested, speculated, hinted about and wished for on the forum and there might even be some unreported behind the scenes movement that somebody like Ken might know about...however, nothing concrete per the confirmation you were seeking in your post and certainly no site has been identified. Remember, this is a developer that took forever to get the construction ball rolling on the downtown site for a variety of reasons (look back over the thread) and that was when interest rates and the construction environment were much more favorable to developers than they are now. March 19, 20232 yr Apparently @Htsguyjust wants us to remember everything discussed on this forum. God forbid someone has a simple question.
March 19, 20232 yr A 60 story building in UC? Yeah l think l read on some site they're planning on breaking ground sometime this summer although the date is somewhat iffy.

March 19, 20232 yr I figured we don’t have enough pics yet so here’s one in context with Schofield et al Edited March 19, 20232 yr by bumsquare
March 19, 20232 yr I wonder if they'll change the name of the City Club Building since the City Club is moving, and the City Club apartments are rising next door.

Man, that City Club Building exterior needs a good sand blasting or whatever it is they do to brighten it up.
March 19, 20232 yr Giving it a new name makes sense. It would eliminate a lot of confusion. And maybe they can give it a good cleaning too.
March 22, 20232 yr My only concern is - where’s the next big crane over downtown coming from? I’m gonna be in serious withdrawal mode after CC (and SW, obviously) are completed…
March 22, 20232 yr There will likely be a small one at the apartments scheduled to be built on Bolivar Rd. as well as one at Bridgeworks at some point (of course that's not quite downtown). Edited March 23, 20232 yr by fujiyoshida

I’m gonna be in serious withdrawal mode after CC (and SW, obviously) are completed… Wont the new 14 story building from Cleveland clinic require one? Bridgeworks finally got the okay so we'll probably see one there. Also the group behind Artisan may be getting ready to start on the hotel portion of the development by the time these two are done. March 28, 20232 yr I just realised we might be cornering the market on purple with 668 and city club both using purple lighting/schemes. Hmmm

March 28, 20232 yr Actually the purple seems pretty muted in this rendering for the building - there seems to be a navy blue that is just as prominent. It’s going to be fun seeing all those balconies and unusual cut-outs and unusual accents come to life towards the top of the building. I think it’s going to be a fun building that will infuse a real sense of new energy on the Avenue.
March 28, 20232 yr ^ I agree. If it turns out as nice as the pics it's going to add alot of color and architectural interest to that section of Euclid Ave.
March 30, 20232 yr They must have cleaned the lens or increased the stream resolution. Check out the before and after. Two sunny day pics, the first from March 20th, the second from this afternoon. Edited March 30, 20232 yr by Mendo
