So if the water is shedding off the deck to the rail and not down through the deck, probably fine. But if it's a traditional deck build, then it's not advisable. Holds moisture and hides deterioration If you do. And just because you shouldnt doesn't mean folks won't.Also, the ends of some of these balconies look terrible with 4 2x10 laminated together that are uneven.
