Funny you should say, but in "Back to the Beach" (1987) the premise was that Annette and Frankie got married and moved away from the beach - to Cleveland.   

 

It's actually a really fun B-movie full of great cameos.

I did not know that. Thanks. I'm watching a trailer now. More campy than the original!

Ohio awards $17M in tax credits to boost NE Ohio film industry

 

The Ohio Department of Development on Friday announced tax credits of nearly $17 million for 11 Northeast Ohio film industry projects.

 

In all, Ohio awarded $33 million in tax credits to 18 projects statewide.

 

Through the state's Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit Program, 14 projects are being awarded more than $26 million in tax credits statewide. And the recently launched Ohio Film & Theater Capital Improvements Tax Credit Program is awarding four projects — all in Northeast Ohio — more than $7.3 million in tax credits to support capital improvements used in the production and post-production motion picture or Broadway theatrical industries.

A friend of my wife's wrote and performed this song, and created this cool video with lots of Cleveland scenes in it. BTW, she's from Ukraine and barely speaks any English....

I watched the trailer about 10x in a row when it first came out. Movie looks great, for many reasons. 

 

Anybody know the antique store Mr Haysbert is in around the :12 and especially :38 second marks? It looks like several places I know in Cleveland Heights and on Larchmere... but not exactly. I need some art glass windows.

i was on the healthline and euclid and a film caravan was actively shooting while driving west toward CSU

the actors were in an old timey yellow cab taxi, probably 50s or 60s style

Don't know what for, but Peyton Manning and the yellow cab were spotted at League Park earlier today according to imfromcleveland instagram

i noticed some posts on X about that later in the evening

that was definitely it but cant figure out any information about what it was for

i thought we rode right past josh cribbs just before i saw the taxi so i think it was him after all

A post on the Cleveland subreddit showed the yellow cab in Midtown with Bob Golic, and the poster said the crew were wearing NFL Films shirts and that Peyton Manning and James Harrison would also be in the commercial.
