April 3Apr 3 I wish the spaghetti of wires could be addressed along Cleveland's street grid. I also am not a fan of the corrugated metal cladding that is surrounding the windows. The townhomes are nice but the scale of them are at odds with the rest of the development site

The thought is it would be difficult to fight a fire if a ladder truck can't extend a ladder to the building because of wires and fire fighters can't safely spray the building with water again because of the wires. He's and CPP/the building dept. Aremaking developers pay to put the wires underground for permit approval. This isn't going to change things in the vast majority of the city/region, but its something.

April 21Apr 21 Skyline on Stokes update: also, for those curious, per ODOT records, they will be resurfacing Stokes from Chester to MLK in 2027 (PID 122344) and adding a striped bike lane, which I would imagine will reduce it from an unnecessary four lane to a three lane + bike
April 23Apr 23 densification baby! That whole area has just truly been an incredible expansion and transformation.
May 6May 6 its great to rebuild the density, and then some, but who in the sam hail designed this? it’s like they threw a bunch of architectural elements and home depot materials into a big bingo night spinner, pulled them out and went with that. the roof cornices are just an especially strange choice because look like the pushing tin men era job they did back in the days over the real cornices. 😂 that said, its new construction and its great to see — i would definitely look into living there if i worked at the clinic or nearby. i imagine they won’t have any problem getting takers.

It originally was not, and was a bit more interesting, but apparently the developer was having trouble making the original design work financially, so it partnered with Geis who was able to drive down costs with it off the shelf product, although of course tailored for the site. Some what similar to what ended up happening at Bridgeworks.

Although LDA continued to work on the Stokes project to provide the detailed designs, programming, etc. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
