Ya know, with all this negativity coming out of this and/or about this state (from politics to media to your friends that moved to California to only talk isht about Ohio), I think it's time to actually shine a light on how, well, awesome we are.  We all are!  So to start, I'm proud this state has 7 metropolitan areas over 500,000 that are all uniquely interesting, culturally significant, and criminally underrated.  Do you know how many states have 7+ Metros over 500,000?  Only two (California and Florida; though Texas will reach it next Census).  So if you have something POSITIVE to say about our great state, let the world and Beyonce's internet know!

And yes, I know these photos are old but whatever.  Love this state darnit!

i am randomly watching mch vs vuu hbcu football on nfl network at the local pizza pub in staten this afternoon.

the coverage is a lot of fun to watch from the cheerleading to the frats in the crowd. so if you dont catch a lot of hbcu you should its super all america great.

anyway, there are a lot of brief ‘heart of ohio’ ads showing, which i have never seen before. so yay for that.

no, despite what the internet feeds you, the only two cars in ohio did not crash in 1895.

come on maaan, the pic most often used is actually from back bay boston and more importantly its clearly from around the 1930s. 😂

also, even if something like that did happen, its highly unlikely it wouldn’t be well documented as the uniqueness of cars and crashes was back then.

I mean, she's right about the CVS...but it ain't that far to walk to the one on the other side of Goodale Park.  But I'll take any good pub.

Found myself driving through Southeast Ohio over the weekend, and made it a leisurely drive home - stopping in several towns along the way.

I think we don't appreciate enough how truly beautiful and unique Southeast Ohio is. I felt Thoreau and Emerson flowing through my veins each and every mile of the way

It is beautiful down there and if those small towns pushed for more tourism, they could probably rebuild and become somewhat thriving tourist spots.
