The tourism makes finding restaurants a bit trickier than in Mexico City but it’s a pretty great place to take some pictures. And the atmosphere on the main square with the mariachis in the evening is something I’d never experienced.

Yes lots of expats. But not entirely touristy. A pretty legit produce market and it’s also a weekend destination for CDMX people I believe
June 8, 20232 yr Take me back! I was there for dia de los muertos back in 2017 and had an amazing time. As mentioned, the town does cater to a pretty significant ex-pat population, but the place is still oozing with charm, as evident by these spectacular photos.
