April 14, 200619 yr Great photos. You were all over! I used to live on Grand Army Plaza when I first moved to BK. Its was pretty scarey back then! Love the pictures of Beacon Place and you even got some pics of my beloved Harlem! You really made to most of your time on the subway and got every penny out of your metrocard, didn't you?
April 14, 200619 yr Those were great pictures of Cleveland! I just wasn't sure when they replaced the red line with the "G" line? LOL I about spit my milk out when I saw the "I see black people" pic..that was classic!
April 14, 200619 yr Wonderful photos. Who are the (I presume) forumers you were with? I saw some of those "I see black people" signs in Chicago... they're advertising some TV channel? (We don't have black people in Madison so I'm not familiar with it.)
April 14, 200619 yr Dang! So that's how it's done! :-o I visited NY a couple times; it was so different from everything I was used to, I never did figure out how to photograph it. Great shots!

April 15, 200619 yr That's what I'm talkin' about! man-o-man... you were hustlin' for sure. One (ColDay) Man... one camera.... 12 hours and NYC - superbly done thank you!
April 18, 200619 yr NYC is one of a kind... I've only seen Manhattan on foot, thanks for showing some of the other areas!
April 18, 200619 yr great assortment of pics! I especially liked the classic elevated train view through Long Island City with the Silvercup Studios sign, but with the added bonus of the forlorn figure staring out the end car a la Edvard Munch (like the seconds before "The Scream"); and the sweeping late afternoon (?) shot of Lexington Ave. (Looks like from the over-the-Lex. Ave-bridge at Hunter College, no?), though it took me the longest time to figure out why I couldn't see the Citicorp bldg, eventually realizing it was eclipsed by the new Bloomberg Tower. I guess our current mayor's (pre-politician) legacy will live on long after he leaves office! (no big flashing "B" on top though. Well, not yet) http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
April 19, 200619 yr Hunter College, indeed. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
April 19, 200619 yr I really liked the Brooklyn shots, particularly the ones with that tall phallic skyscraper with the clock on it (the one with it in the haze, and the brownstowns and the railings in the foreground was really nice). And most unexpected shot....the night shot what looks like an L line on axis with Grand Central Station with a train headlights......ive seen that vista, but its from Park Avenue, not from a railroad, so I gather this is pretty far up on the east side somewhere? Very interesting shot.
April 19, 200619 yr Actually, from Harlem (where that shot was taken). "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
