So I work in the Warehouse District and I find myself with an hour long lunch with nothing to explore. I pretty much walk around the district and the Flats but its getting kinda boring. Is there any historic buildings downtown that have public lobbies/rooftops where I could just walk in?

Maybe I'm stating the obvious but Tower City has a really impressive lobby. Not sure what else is in there now though :-(

I used to love just walking around the old Brooks Brothers store in Tower City. They guys working there were none too thrilled, but it was such a cool store, you could see a lot of the old details.

Have already been through there and while I enjoy it it gets a bit stale(unless I can explore the Tower itself but thats usually a hard no.

Hmm never thought about that! I should give that a try.

Has anyone been through the Standard or any of the newly renovated historic buildings?

I don't think you can, I'm pretty sure the new owners (fancy dress shop) are appointment only.

I toured there when looking for an apartment. Cool lobby.

Hoyt Block Atrium (convenient if you're in the Warehouse District), 200 Public Square lobby, Key Tower Lobby, 5th Street Arcades, Euclid Arcade, you can walk in/through some other lobbies like the Halle, Leader, etc. Also Tower City as already mentioned, Cleveland Public Library, the County Courthouse/City Hall (just have to go through security - you can usually say you're just going to walk around/admire the architecture and you'll be let in), any of the hotels (the Drury has a beautiful and underrated lobby), the Hilton, etc.

Lots of spots to check out and I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting about :)

Cleveland Public Library

This is the answer! The main library is amazing, and they always have really cool displays and installations. And the architecture is phenomenal as well.

Great answers everyone! I work next to the Hoyt building so i'm in there pretty much everyday when I stay in the office for lunch.

Also don't forget about the observation area on the ...10th(?) floor of the library.

Police museum in the CDP HQ.
