Have we ever done Merwin's Wharf? Love that place — and it has a great view of the new Irishtown Bend Park!

Merwins is a great spot, they have THE best pretzel (fight me) - but the seating is really limited if we get a good turnout, and it gets loud with the glass garage doors. It’s also a schlep from any nearby transit stops - any chance we could revisit Forest City? It’s just up the hill and they did a great job accommodating us when we needed more seating.

Thanks for the comments. I think Forest City is a great place for it and I’m open to that. They have live music starting at 6. I’m also open to BrewDog, Masthead, or even Saucy (although it would probably be too crowded on a Friday).

I get home from Europe on 12/13 so doubtful I could even make it, but that would be the date I vote for.   Will probably be sending regrets.

I know it had mixed reviews last time it was put out there but Goldhorn definitely has the space. 

 

That fancy room in FC was nice too, I wonder if Southern Tier would open up their downstairs...

Sad about Merwin's being ditched; just noticed that. As someone who doesn't drink beer, I was really looking forward to a non-brewery location.

The overwhelming choice of those who responded was BrewDog - 1956 Carter Rd (Scranton peninsula), so let’s do that. 5:30pm - whenever; on this Friday, December 8. See you soon! I did make a reservation - we'll be in the couch area just across from the bar, on the other side of the high tops where we sat last time. The manager told me for parties 15&up they can only split the check three ways, so please be nice to the server if they enforce that. (It's easier for servers to split checks if you let them know up front.)

 

I'm updating this post to tag people. Sorry if I'm over-posting, I just want to make sure everyone is aware of this meet up. I'm hoping we meet some new folks. I know that at first it might feel a bit weird to meet up with a bunch of people you only know from the internet, but I swear these events are always a blast and it really enhances the feeling of community of the forum. And Chris and Ian will be driving all the way from Columbus for this thing, so there's no excuse for you to miss it if you're already in northeast Ohio.

Another great event! It was great to meet @WindyBuckeye and @GREGinPARMA and Chris’s friend Scott. Greg made awesome name tags for everyone! Good to see @ColDayMan @MayDay @marty15 @urb-a-saurus @Oldmanladyluck  @GISguy @mermaidlindsay @Geowizical   (Sorry if I missed anyone.) BrewDog was excellent again. Next time we’re thinking we’ll head back to Forest City Brewery.

Life Work has been beyond insane.

I have a teenager who has a very active life

My oldest nephew and niece married over the past two years. 

My oldest nephew and his wife brought triplets into the world and they are a handful - yet more people for my private army!
