That is the worst masonic "temple" I've ever seen.

My older brother lives just outside of Waukegan. Waukegan and North Chicago have always reminded me of the Lorain/Elyria area as satellite cities that've become more connected to the primary city in a much larger metro. They definitely are their own areas with their own cultures. 

I just LOVE the Canada goose sculpture in the Art Park!😁

Nice pictures! Must have been a town that got swallowed by Chicagoland rather than a streetcar suburb or something that built a dense downtown.

I see your Waukegan and raise you one Avon Lake... the juxtaposition of 1970's diagonal wood siding with cheaper vinyl than a Ryan Home highlights this lovely edifice

i'm not sure we needed an answer to joliet, a question no one has ever asked for.

BTW, I once spent a week in Waukegan one evening.
